We're working on a variety on invoicing improvements to be released soon and this is on the list!

Would be most helpful if, when an appointment is marked Paid, the Actions->Send Invoice feature could be used to send a sales receipt. Currently, this is not the case. If the appointment is marked Paid and the action is taken to send an invoice, the invoice still shows balance owed. If the balance owed is changed on the invoice to $0 - which is the case for a sales receipt - the revenue for the appointment also changes to $0. Which is not accurate. If an appointment is marked as Paid - regardless of the payment method - this should be automated in the invoicing process.
There should also be a way to combine multiple payment methods for one appointment in the appointment that is reflected on the invoice - like $125 on credit card and $75 check - and show a partial payment with a balance owed.

If you're using Stripe or another credit card processor you can already do this using their login/settings. We will consider it for other forms of payment when we can.

Amar Ghose: I have tried to set up this through Square and will have to manually go into their system for it to send one. It’s not automatic and zapier doesn’t have an option for it either.

Lyana & Carissa Spinner: Ah, I wasn't aware Square doesn't do that automatically (Stripe does and I assumed the rest did as well)
Thanks for letting me know!

We have several clients who are asking for a receipt showing "paid" in general. The current invoices do not have this feature. You have to manually edit them to say thank you for your payment. It would be nice to have the customer's automatically receive a receipt showing paid once they have been marked paid.

I specifically have clients asking for this

To easily send a paid receipt or invoice would be awesome.
